So I went the entire month of June without updating and then when I tried to update the site was broken! I’ve been scolded multiple times for not updating. My apologies! Ian had his 9 month check up in June and he was 31 inches and 22 lbs. He’s tall!
I’m just going to throw a bunch of pics from June and July up here. All of them are from around the house. He’s pulling up and cruising and I fear that the walking independently will be here way too soon. He now walks behind his push toys! He waves, and claps his hands too!
Jason and I walked down the street to a park near our house. I thought that the park was just ball fields but a friend told me that there is in fact a play ground there with infant swings. After his late afternoon nap we put him in his stroller and headed to the park. He was fasinated with the other people at the park so our pictures are all of the side of his head.
Here is a quick video. The first part is from last week. I was trying to get him doing his little bunny hop that he does. The second part is from this morning. He got really angry when I took the camera away, but I edited that out so everyone would be smitten by his cuteness.
Ian turned 5 months old on Wednesday. I can’t believe it’s been 5 months. He’s going to be mobile before we know it. He’s getting bigger and bigger by the day. His 9 month sleepers are stretched to the fullest. I gave him pears today for the first time. It was his first baby food. He ate it all up!
We’re hopeful to get a new car in the next year, so we decided to go to the car show to get a look at all the cars we like in one place. Beats traveling from dealership to dealership. Ian did really well. He started getting tired towards the end so we found a quiet spot in the Convention Center and just hung out for a few minutes until he calmed down and then we headed home. We got some pictures while we were relaxing in the quiet spot:
I love the 4th picture. It looks like he’s angry and ready to beat someone up “you wanna mess with me!?”
We took Ian to Rosedale Library today to visit the Baby Garden in Storyville. I didn’t get a good nap out of him prior to going so he was cranky after about 30 minutes, but we had fun until then! Anyone with a little one, I highly recommend visiting, it’s such a neat place!
Unfortunately since he didn’t get good naps prior to going, he has been super cranky today, and pretty much refused to nap. I think it was a combo of the poor naps this morning along with over stimulation, because man was he distracted by everything going on around the place!
I just would like to point out, in that last picture, I am not touching him, he’s balancing himself! Even though he’s a little upset about it.
We took Ian to see Santa today. We got there when Santa was on break so there was a line. Ian was great while we waited in line. He was fasinated by the lights and wide awake until we were 2 kids away from Santa, then he fell asleep. We put him in Santa’s arms and he stayed asleep, they took the picture, still sleeping. Right after the picture, he woke up. It’s ok though, it turned out pretty cute anyway.
Yesterday was my God Daughter Maddie’s 5th birthday party. It was a bowling party and all the kids had a great time. I however managed to hurt my neck. I kind of stink at bowling.
Proof that Ian can sleep anywhere…
Beautiful Maddie holding Ian. This makes him look so big!
Best friends with their babies. Also baby weight…ughhh.
Yesterday we went to visit Aunt Becky and Gabby. Gabby is a month older then Ian. They are the same length but Ian is a lot beefier. Gabby is the happiest baby I’ve ever met!
These shots are from today. I had to get some shots of Daddy and Ian since Ian was wearing his V. 2.0 tshirt and he’s such a mini me to Jason.
